How to change Transaction rights in SBI online?
There are two possible ways to change the transaction rights in SBI online. Those are
- Using Internet Banking
- Using SBI’s YONO App

You can update your transaction rights in SBI with the internet banking facility itself. State Bank of India has made such a facility available to you. But you need to keep the mobile number registered in your bank account in use to do so. Make sure that you have the mobile number registered with the bank that is still active. If you have it then you are eligible to modify your transaction rights in SBI online through internet banking. Let’s see step by step tutorial for it.
Step 1: Log in to SBI internet banking
First of all, you need to log in to your State bank of India’s internet banking account. For that, go to www.onlinesbi.com on your browser.

Click on the ‘Login’ icon under Personal Banking. Then click on ‘Continue to Login’ and then enter your username, password and the text as shown in the image. Then tap the login option.
Step 2: Enter OTP for security purpose
After you click on login, the next page will ask you to enter the OTP.

You need to enter the Time Password which was sent to your registered mobile number by the bank for additional security.
Step 3: Go to the ‘Request & Enquiries’ section
Once you logged into your internet banking account, click on the menu (three horizontal lines) at the top left side of the page. From the list of options, you need to select the ‘Request & Enquiries’ section.

If you open your internet banking account on your desktop or laptop, you will see the ‘Request & Enquiries’ section in the top menu.
Step 4: Select Upgrade/downgrade access level
Now, you will see a list of options for request and enquiries available on the State bank of India internet banking website.

You need to select ‘Upgrade / Downgrade Access Level’ to reset your transaction rights in SBI online.
Step 5: Select the access level as per your wish
You will now get a page with a list of your SBI account numbers and current access status. If you have multiple accounts like a savings account, current account, etc in the same branch, select any one of your accounts in which you want to change the transaction rights. Once you click on the account, it will show you the options to upgrade or downgrade your transaction limit. Step 6: Enter One Time Password
After selecting the transaction limit, click on the ‘Submit’ option. Now, the bank will send OTP to your registered mobile number for authentication purpose. Enter the received One Time Password in the specific box without any mistake and then click on the ‘Confirm’ icon.

Once the verification process was completed successfully by the bank, it will display a message that ‘Your request for up-gradation of rights for the account selected by you has been accepted and it may take one hour to activate the same in our records’.

You can also modify your transaction rights in SBI online with the help of the State bank of India’s YONO application. This app allows you to manage your transaction rights anytime you want. Let’s see the steps to modify transaction rights in SBI online using the YONO app.
Step 1: First of all, you have to download and install the SBI YONO application on your device from the respective application store. This app is available on both Google Play Store and App Store.

Step 2: Once the app was installed on your device, open the app and try to log in to it. You can use the Username and password of your internet banking account to log in to the YONO app.
Step 3: After login into the app, tap on the menu bar or options bar at the main interface. Now, you will see a list of menu to select. You have to click on ‘Service Requests’.

Step 4: Click on the ‘Settings’ option in the Service request section and open it. Now, the app will display some options. From that, choose the ‘Manage Transaction Rights’ option.

Step 5: The app will show you the list of accounts linked to the app. You need to select the account in which you won't change the transaction limit.

Step 6: Once you select the account, it will show the current transaction status. Click the pin icon near the current status to modify it.

Step 7: After selecting transaction right, you need to enter the profile password. Type the profile password of your internet banking account. Finally, select the transaction rights option as you wish and confirm it. And then tap on the ‘Submit’ button.
